摘要: 1858年7月美国逼迫日本与其签署了《日米修好通商条约》,横滨从此向欧美敞开了门户。中国人几乎在开港的同时出现在横滨。最活跃的是中国的买办,他们充当欧美人与日本人通商的中介。1870年日本与清政府签订了《日清修好条规》,中国人获得了领事裁判权,这加速了在横滨的中国人社会的形成,从而使中国人最终摆脱了欧美人附庸的社会地位。Abstract: Under U.S. pressure, Japan signed a treaty with the United States in July,1858 to open trade and promote contact between the two countries. As soon as Yokohama opened its door to westen countries, Chinese appared there, the most active being the Chinese wealthy businessmen who ran between Japanese and Westeners.In 1870, Japan signed a treaty with the Chinese Qing government, permitting China to open a consulate there,thus speeding up the formation of a Chinese community.
