Abstract: Art education is helpful to cultivate the students' systematic thinking.In the course of Appreciation of Film Music, it is practicable and effective to foster the mode of systematic thinking through the intensive reading of the film music texts and employing its knowledge of backdrop.Students can see issues in the texts of films, and find propositions of aesthetics, sociology and ethnics in the combination of image narration and music.The paper shows that the course of Appreciation of Film Music is feasible and effective in expanding the students' horizons of knowledge and in the development of their systematic thinking.
