Abstract: Owing to the enormous amount of bottom women in Beiping during 1928-1937, a large number of women relief institutions emerged and relieved them.It was diffcult to expand the relief scale as a result of the financial restriction.Meanwhile, impacted by lagging relief concept and other factors, the relief efficiency was not satisfactory either.Yet a few nongovernmental women relief organizations assimilated advanced concepts of women relief and provided educational relief to bottom women.They explored advanced relief ways and reflected the development trend of modern women relief.The problem of bottom women can be thoroughly solved only if the social system has transfor med and the whole society has progressed.
