Abstract: Zhang Gongyao,a professor, thinks that “outstanding traditional culture”, “broad and profound” and “system science” are not the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, which do not hold water and are lack of factual basis. The acquisition and processing of his data of “the anticipant average life of zero year old children” do not conform with the basic requirements of social science research methods. Though both do not understand the “essence” of system science, do not understand the Chinese characteristics. The holder of the ideas do not understand the “essence” of system science,and the characteristics of Chinese medicine. Measured from three aspects of scientific knowledge of philosophy, research methods of social science and the ways of thinking, his thoughts are absurd and can not be established.
