Abstract: Zhao Bingzhong's champion volume, created in the Ming dynasty, is the only one of its kind found in China.It has considerable literary and historical significance.The subject of the volume is"the politics of the emperor and the heart of the emperor," and it contains views and strategies of the examinees on the governance of the state.The writing in this essay is elegant, fluent and rigorous in structure.Its calligraphy is neat and highly artistic, offering literary appreciation.Moreover, the thinking and logic of the volume are deeply rooted in Confucian political feelings.This paper contains a discussion of the monarch's theory, official selection theory, moral education theory, a theory of governing the country and more, reflecting traditional Confucian political aspirations and ideals.Therefore,the champion volume can be described as an essay of the political philosophy of Zhao Bingzhong.
