摘要: 沙博理是著名美裔华籍翻译家,其翻译的《水浒传》被认为是目前最好的英译本。本文系统地梳理了沙译《水浒传》的相关副文本内容,利用副文本的史料价值对沙博理译就《水浒》的翻译目的、翻译策略和翻译过程进行审视,从而全面准确的解读其译者主体性。借此,本文希望丰富译者沙博理研究的维度,促进《水浒》沙译本研究的深化。Abstract: Sidney Shapiro is the famous American-Chinese translator and Shui Hu Zhuan rendered by him is regarded as the best English version till now.This paper collects the relative paratextual elements systematically,makes good use of historical value of paratexts to explore Shapiro's translation purpose,strategy and experience,and interprets the translator’s subjectivity comprehensively.The paper also hopes to enrich the dimension of Shapiro’s study and deepen the study of Shui Hu Zhuan translated by him.
