Abstract: On the basis of and investigation of current British qualification education in social word, this paper puts forward the idea that social work consists of four components:consumer, profession agency, qualification training and governmental administration. It also points out that the development of social work education must be based on social needs and professionalization and the government plays an important role and shoulders great responsibility in social work education and the process of professionalization.
