Application of Systemic Functional Linguistics in Teaching: American Scholars' Research Features in the Recent Years

摘要: 近些年来,美国在系统功能语言学应用于教育、教学的研究上,成绩斐然,并形成自己的特色。他们以功能语言学理论思想为依据,开展多层面的应用研究,研究话题涉及教学领域的各个方面。在研究过程中,简化理论,提炼出易于操作的分析模式,方便应用;他们以解决美国国家或区域实际问题为动机,具有较强的针对性;在一个成果后,常常紧随着系列的后续研究,因此,他们的应用研究更为系统、深入。Abstract: In the past decade, America researchers have achieved greatly in the application study of Systemic Functional Linguistics(SFL) in the field of education and teaching, and with their own features. Based on SFL, they carried out the research from various aspects and the topics involved are basic issues in teaching. In the application process, they tend to simplify theory and modify it for easy use. Their research is very purposeful, usually for solving local problems in school, and following one study, a series of more studies are often carried out. As a consequence, their research is very systematic and thorough.
