Abstract: Bo Jue is an outstanding scholar and inventor in late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. He is proficient in astronomy, calendar and rhythm. He is well-known in the making of telescope, artillery and ingenious mechinery. And it is the first “trinidad mirror” (i.e., telescope) by independent research and used in military command. Based on Bo Jue’s life and his contribution, the article mainly carries out specific analysis on the achievements of its social influence factors, such as military, economic, political, cultural, etc. The article showes that military, economic, political and cultural factors stimulate the development of science and technology.
