Abstract: As a extending existent selection system to persons with ability, the Imperial Examinations really given birth to importent influnce at the begining;however, its maladies in destroying and suppressing talents and thinking also became obvious, accompanying the development of history.It was abolished by Qing Dynasty for the double shock of inner and outerside.The abolishment of the Imperial Examination System brought up a speacial aesthetic connotation, in which most scholars were inclined to the new things but also recall the old ones, then brought important influnce to the poetry theory published by newspapers and periodicals in modern times.It was not only created a chance, but also established a base for the production and transmition of the poetry, either produced direct driving effect to the poetry theory.
