Abstract: The Smurf style which is now popular in the internet was originated from the movie "The Smurfs". The Smurf style applies "the Song of the Smurfs" as the model and fills some new words and sentences into it, which is widespread in the internet with some new contents in the old frame. There are different versions such as the vocation edition, territory edition, campus edition and constellation edition. The rapid popularity of the Smurf style is the result combined both the internal reasons of the style itself and the external reasons of the social, cultural and mass psychological elements. From the perspective of meanings and values, the vocation edition of the Smurf style reflects the hard survival state of certain group with great pressure and meager incomes, and it also reflects the optimism of the working class who regards the sufferings as pleasure and seeks pleasure from agony. The Smurf style is the netizen's self-entertainment, meanwhile, through the self-mockery and laughing at others, the Smurf style can release their depression to a certain degree, which is helpful for self-decompression and ease the social conflict.
